solutions to Examination Malpractice

The impact of examination malpractice on the educational institutions cannot be overemphasized. Haven dealt with this in my previous post, now I will be looking at the solution to  this monster - examination malpractice.
(1) The use of anti-examination. malpractice helmet. Waoo! I know this may sound funny but if fully implemented, could stop the act of spying on others work.

2 Appropriate spacing between candidates.
The practice of coping from each other or whispering of answers to others will be hampered if there is adequate space between the candidates.
(3) Allocating seating position.
It is a common practice for friends and partners in the crime of examination malpractice to sit close as this will enable free exchange of materials and solutions. The invigilator should allocate sitting positions at will as this will cause some disconnect from the cheaters' network.
(4) Ensure no unwanted material follow the candidates into the hall.
This may involve searching of the candidates to ensure that no expo or 'bullet' as it is popularly called follow them into the hall. Other items like phones, iPad, calculators, may not be allowed depending on the examination rule.
(5) Thorough invigilation
Why should an invigilator leave the hall for a long time with no body to stand in? This only gives the candidates freedom to cheat. The invigilator should as much as possible be with the students till the end of the examination. Those that have the plan to
cheat will be wishing for the invigilator to leave, so that the deal will be done.
(6) Monitor candidates who go out of the hall.
Some candidates pretend to go to the convenience only to read up solutions from their books already position in such places. Effort can be made to inspect such places as the exam commences.
(7) Punish culprits of examination malpractice.
If the offenders are approximately punished it will serve as deterrent to others. Strict punishment such as loss of valuable marks, compulsory carrying over of the course, or outright expulsion should be enforced depending on the act Committed.
(8) Appropriate lecturing and preparation.
The school authority and lecturers should also play their role well, the student should be taught well and given enough time to prepare for the examination. This will prevent the fear and anxiety which leads many to seek solace in examination malpractice
