How to be successful in Jamb CBT

The glory of Jamb has been restored and they are now the only body that can  grant students admission to all Universities in Nigeria. This was re-emphasised by the minister of Education recently. Therefore the only hindrance to your admission is your ability to pass the Jamb CBT(computer based test). These suggestions will help your performance in the examination.
(1) Prepare well.
The preparation should be started early enough. It is bad for some students to wait few days to the examination before starting their preparation. This group are often  poorly prepared and tensed up for the examination. The Jamb syllabus should be used for the study and you should ensure that you cover it. Past question papers can be used for revision. Past questions can be found in www.eduregards.com.

(2) Avoid fear
Fear is referred to as ''false evidence appearing real". Many of the things we fear and worry about never come to pass. So why allow it to sap your strength and hamper your composure. Before the examination try and familiarize yourself with the computer. The knowledge needed to use it for the examination is not a deep one but ability to read and follow the displayed instructions on the screen and effect action using the mouse. Get confident, in your ability to pass the examination. Be optimistic! The the Bible says that '' ''whatever a Man thinketh in his heart that he will be." So think success and not failure.
(3) Memorise your formulas
remember, you are not allowed to go in with formulas, so  cramm them, because they will be highly needed. Frequent use of them during studies also makes them more memorable.
(4) Manage your test time well
Here you are dealing with a computer, it automatically stops you at the end of the time, so there is no grace of extra time. Do not spend more time than necessary in any question. It is even adviceable to start with the cheaper papers as you can gain time from them for the tougher ones. Make sure you progress with the time.
(5) Do put your hope on examination malpractice
Many students have been disappointed because they refused to prepare but hoping on one runs or the other. Why put your future on the hand of another person. You should not forget in a hurry that you can be caught and end up with a cancelled result. I know you will say ''God forbid" but you have to forbid it first by abstaining from examination malpractice.
(6) Above all pray
Yes, there is a God factor in everything. With God on your side that your effort will be fruitful and you will smile later with your admission letter.
Good luck!
