Education is the bedrock of national development and self actualization. The citizenly need to get formal education to enable them develop themselves and contribute towards nation building. The quest for education by some, is hindered by lack of sponsorship. In this article I will be sharing how people can sponsor themselves through school.
(1) Enrolling in part time program.
Part time programs allow students time to engage in productive ventures through which they can generate money to sponsor themselves. The academic activities are carried out during the week ends, hence the students can work during the week days. Although the time spent on each course is more compared to full time programs but at the end the aim of being educated is achieved.
(2) Save for the school program
With strong desire for formal education, savings can be made for a period of time before going to enroll for the education. The cost of the training should be calculated, and the money saved before embarking on the full-time program.
(3) Engage in part time business while in campus.
The student can start small scale business in the school campus. The product or service should focus on the need of co-students. The large population of students in campus presents a viable business opportunity. Businesses such as photocopying, hair/barbing saloon, call center, sale of recharge card, consumables, stationaries etc, are easy ways to make money while in campus. While doing this, time should be effectively managed so that academic activities will not be neglected . The student can hire faithful workers and play supervisory role. Many students have testified of sponsoring themselves through school by this method. Most of them ended up as successful entrepreneurs after graduation.
(4) Blogging
This may look Strange, but there is much untapped money in blogging, especially in our country. As an emerging enterprise, with high dividend and little start up capital, a student can earn a living doing it.
You should not allow lack of sponsorship to deter you from achieving your dream of getting formal education. Get up and take a step towards attaining your destiny.
