How to get job faster after graduation

The goal of every student is to get job immediately after graduation. In the present time, this dream is often not met. While it is becoming common for graduates to stay for years expecting their jobs to come, this is not a welcome development. Valuable human resources are waisted and many dreams shattered. What a frustration!
To enhance the chances of getting a job earlier after graduation, the following can be done.

(1) Get a good grade
The importance of a good grade, at least a 2.1 (second class upper) or its equivalent, in getting a job earlier, cannot be overemphasized. The Labour market is becoming more competitive, with millions of unemployed applying for the few job openings. Therefore employers uses the grade to reduce the number of applicants. So having a lower grade automatically disqualifies you and many mouth watering opportunities can be lost. Therefore to avoid this, academic work should be taken serious to ensure getting a good grade.

(2) Start Job Application Early
For those that will be participating in the NYSC, job application should start during the program. Those exempted from the program can start job hunting in their last semester. This is because most employment procceses takes a long  time to conclude, and this period can be used to conclude the program.

(3) Get professional certifications
Having some professional certification gives you an advantage over others, Thereby standing out among the numerous job seekers. Employers place high value on this, because it makes the graduate more prepared for the role sought for.
(4) Get industrial experience
Undergoing an internship during your study or immediately after graduation, equips one with the knowledge of the operations in the industry. This is highly recommended, as it is counted as work experience. When such opportunities are not available, the graduate can volunteer to work for free but allowed to gain the work experience.
(5) Networking
Indeed, maintaining a network of co-students, friends, family members, church members etc, for the purpose of job search often pays out.  Information can be shared and recommendations can be given. This is important, especially in our society where '' who know man" is highly practiced. Also joining social media job platforms linkedln is important.
(6) Adequate test preparation
Haven been opportuned to get job screening invitation, many jobs seekers fail to pass the aptitude test, hence cannot proceed in the exercise. The truth is that most of these questions are recycled by some firms and studying, using the popular GMATS, and other platforms is very helpful. The job seeker should also practice how to answer interview questions.
Conclusively, the God factor is very important. Pray and pray hard for his favour and blessings to ensure our academic investment is rewarded with a benefiting job.
